Nestled in the most picturesque part of the Dandenong Ranges with spectacular hill views of the Warburton Ranges this premium luxury home is the ideal retreat. 5 min drive to Olinda, Sassafras and 20 mins to vineyards.
Boasting 6 bedrooms, 2 huge living rooms, 3 magnificent decks and gardens this home offers a wide range of experiences.
Bedrooms are opened up based on the number of guests booked (otherwise they remain locked). If you need more rooms e.g. for singles please book for more guests.
We open the rooms based on the following:
2 guests booked: 1 large master bedroom only unlocked with ensuite and king size bed. Sunrise views and access to the top deck.
4 guests booked: 2nd bedroom (2 total rooms unlocked), additional bedroom with sunrise views and access to the top deck. Queen bed.
6 guests booked: 3rd bedroom (3 total rooms unlocked), additional bedroom with garden views. Queen bed.
8 guests booked: 4th bedroom (4 total rooms unlocked), large additional bedroom on the lower floor with garden views. Queen bed.
10 guests booked: 5th bedroom (5 total rooms unlocked), large additional bedroom on the lower floor with garden views. Access via the 5th bedroom. Queen bed.
12 guests booked (6 total rooms unlocked): 6th bedroom on the top floor, smaller additional bedroom with garden views. Double bed.

We are offering a six-bedroom chalet style house with high cedar ceilings. The picture windows throughout the house provide an abundance of light and the amazing vista of the Warburton Ranges and the Yarra Valley. Two large living rooms, a bar, three decks, a sauna, indoor heated pool (upto 24 deg Celsius) and spa (heated by upto 38deg Celsius) make it the perfect space to get away. A Coonara style wooden fireplace adds a beautiful aesthetic in winter. We provide a limited quantity of wood and kindling as the house is equipped with central gas heating to keep you toasty warm.
There is a large fully renovated kitchen with double oven and breakfast counter. It is equipped for self-catering with Nespresso coffee machine (10 coffee pods provided as we have also provided additional instant coffee), toaster, microwave, gas stove, dishwasher and other appliances. Dining room, laundry and three bathrooms are available. The downstairs living room has a 50-inch television. The dining table sits 8, for larger groups finger food in the top deck is a great option for entertaining.
Our stunning mountain retreat is ideal for people coming to the Dandenong Ranges for relaxing in nature or to attend weddings or other functions. Conveniently located within walking distance to the Olinda Falls, Kalorama lookout and 5 minute drive to Olinda village and Skyhigh and 10 minute drive to Sassafras villages. Note the space is very tranquil and booking rules prohibit parties and guests not on the booking from entering the house. We allow photographers and makeup for wedding stays for a short time.
Guest access:
You will have full and exclusive access to the whole house regardless of how many rooms you book. This includes:
* 6 bedrooms if you book for the full 12 guests, see above otherwise.
* 2 large living spaces.
* 3 outdoor decks, 1 on the second level with magnificent mountain/ valley views, outdoor furniture. 2 on the lower level with mountain/ garden views and to relax by the pool.
* Heated indoor, pool, spa and sauna.
* Fully equipped kitchen and laundry.
* 3 bathrooms and toilets. 1 is an ensuite attached to the master bedroom, 1 on the second level and 1 on the lower level near the sauna and pool.
* Indoor bar. BYO alcohol.
* Beautiful back and front gardens with lawns and over 10 different fruit trees and walking path.
Other things to note:
We have recommended no kids under 12 primarily because our place has a spa and pool which are located in a separate enclosed room. We don't have high chairs, gates for the staircase, protection against sticking metal objects in electrical sockets etc. It is a large property with a second story balcony. If you need a place specifically for kids, then High Grange is probably not for you. If the adults deserve a break too and you are willing to supervise your kids closely, then we are happy to host you.

Please take note of the following important information regarding the heating options for the pool and spa:
Pool heating: To achieve a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius, the pool requires approximately 12 hours of heating, typically done overnight. Detailed instructions for pool heating will be provided to assist you. We also have a QR code for a Youtube video if you prefer that.
Spa heating: The spa can reach a relaxing temperature of 38 degrees Celsius in approximately 3 hours. Instructions for spa heating will also be provided to guide you through the process. We also have a QR code for a Youtube video if you prefer that.
Important Note: It is crucial to remember that pool and spa heating cannot be activated simultaneously to achieve the desired temperature. When set to spa heating mode, the heating system will exclusively focus on warming the spa, while setting it to pool heating mode will prioritize heating the pool only. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in managing the heating preferences for the pool and spa.
Additionally, we have discovered that indulging in a rejuvenating hot spa followed by a refreshing dip in our comfortably tepid pool offers an exquisite and invigorating relaxation experience.
