Relax and unwind in this charming completely redecorated 40's style cottage on 8 totally private and secluded wooded acres. Stroll the grounds, try a cast or two from the bridge overlooking our peaceful private stocked pond...or take a serene walk through the woods or relax with a beverage by our pond waterfall. You might even catch a glimpse of our stealthy blue heron.
Luxuriously comfortable furnishings, a wood burning stove, and a very nicely appointed kitchen plus many thoughtful touches not usually found in a rental, create a welcome retreat to let the cares of everyday life melt away. While there is plenty to do right on the property (a library of interesting books, DVD's, family games and puzzles, a big screen TV with complimentary premium channels, a ROKU stick, and very fast internet) Alpine Valley Ski resort is only 5 minutes away.
In addition, six beautiful metro parks are just minutes away by car and there are a variety of restaurants to enjoy from casual to fine dining. The movie theater is just 10 minutes away. You will also have access to our neighborhood all-sports lake with a playground for the little kids and volleyball and basketball for the bigger ones.
Quaint and interesting towns such as Milford, Holly (birth place of Prohibition!) Hartland and Highland offer fun shopping and dining. In the fall, visit Long's cider mill in Commerce and load up on their delicious piping hot donuts!
Back home, sun or have coffee on the back deck in total privacy with just the squirrels and the songbirds to keep you company. After sunset, star gaze with the one you love, cozy up in our large organic garden/cigar bar/fire pit area or the deck fire pit or build a true campfire in our campfire circle in the woods.
