Summary: We enjoyed our week at the Villa very much. Laurence and Jean were excellent, kind,attentive hosts answering our several enquiry's promptly. The Villa was ample for 6people with a large ,well equipped kitchen, though on arrival we were surprised to find it necessary to have to clean several utensils before using them.The pool was great and it was good to have the security of being in a gated property. Away from the tourist track, there were plenty of local shops in easy walking distance with a good grocer's and small store for basics adjacent to the Obelisk.For a more extensive stop E.Leclerc is10 mins away by car and has a great Poissonnerie.Keen cooks we ate in mostly, the villa lending itself to long evenings and lunches but we would particularly recommend Chez Paul at Les Goudes for a seafood meal with home made pizza's and pasta for the kids, the restaurant overlooking a small working harbour. On arrival we were advised that the family cat preferred the Villa to Laurence's other homes so we were asked if we minded feeding her ,which we didn't;however it would be prudent to mention this to future clients when they book given some may have allergies to cat fur. Our stay coincided with hotter than normal weather for late June and like a previous guest had posted, we found the bedrooms got very warm.As such we came prepared with several fans but suggest these should be available for future clients.We also found the pillows were very varied in size and mostly uncomfortable, either lumpy or hard or both and certainly not conducive to a good sleep.Clients should expect better quality given the weekly rental rate. Would we rent again, yes we would, with the above issues addressed.
